Terms and Conditions for the International Conference on Digital Frontiers in Building and Infrastructure

1. General Information
The International Conference on Digital Frontiers in Building and Infrastructure (hereafter referred to as "the Conference") is organized by Sci-Tech Development B.V on behalf of the universities highlighted on the website. By registering for or participating in the Conference, attendees, speakers, sponsors, and other participants agree to abide by these terms and conditions.
2. Registration
2.1. Registration for the Conference is mandatory for all participants.
2.2. The registration fee is non-refundable except in the case of event cancellation (see Section 5).
2.3. Registration is confirmed only upon receipt of full payment.
3. Submission of Papers
3.1. Participants may submit either an abstract or a full paper for review through the designated submission portal at www.portal-mysigma.com.
3.2. All submissions must adhere to the submission guidelines provided on the Conference website.
3.3. Submissions will undergo a peer-review process, and the decision of the review panel is final.
3.4. Accepted papers will be published in the Conference proceedings, provided that at least one author registers and attends the Conference.
4. Participation
4.1. The Conference reserves the right to modify the schedule, speakers, and content at any time without prior notice.
4.2. Participants must comply with the event code of conduct, which prohibits disruptive behavior, harassment, and any actions that undermine the Conference’s objectives.
5. Cancellation and Refund Policy
5.1. The Conference reserves the right to cancel the event for any reason.
5.2. In case of cancellation by the organizers, participants will be notified promptly, and registration fees will be fully refunded.
5.3. Participants who wish to cancel their registration may do so up to two months before the event start date. Cancellations made after this period are non-refundable.
5.4. To request a cancellation, participants must contact the Conference team via registration@dfbi.net.
6. Intellectual Property
6.1. By submitting a paper or abstract, authors grant the Conference organizers the right to publish and distribute their work as part of the Conference proceedings.
6.2. Authors retain copyright to their work and may republish it elsewhere with proper acknowledgment of its presentation at the Conference.
7. Liability
7.1. The Conference organizers shall not be held liable for any personal injury, loss, or damage to property occurring during the event.
7.2. Participants are advised to secure their own travel and health insurance.
8. Privacy and Data Protection
8.1. The Conference organizers are committed to protecting participants' personal information.
8.2. Any data collected during registration will be used solely for organizing the event and will not be shared with third parties without consent.
9. Governing Law
9.1. The laws of Dutch law govern these terms and conditions.
9.2. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these terms shall be resolved through Dutch law.
